The safety and well-being of our students is of most importance to us at Kingspoint. That is why we hold to a rigorous screening program. We take great precautions to hire people of moral integrity, who have a history of working well with children. This applies to all staff from teacher to administrator. All other employees or parent volunteers also go through our Washington State Background checks. No people are allowed to work with our students unless they have cleared background checks. The following are the steps we take in each case to hire our employees:
- Washington State Background Checks
- Applications that include questions on integrity and background
- References required
- Follow-up phone calls of references as well as those we feel “should” have been included as references
- A signed Moral Integrity Agreement – done yearly
- A Staff Handbook that outlines expectations and processes if those expectations are not met.
