FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Do you have a dress code? We do have a dress code, but it is somewhat generic in that if students are neat, clean and modest, they are probably okay. Some of the new trends such as torn or baggy pants are not acceptable. Consult a detailed copy of our dress code for information on hair color, earrings, and skirt lengths among other specifics.
2. Do you serve hot lunch? Most years we have a parent committee that plans and serves a hot lunch consisting of an entre from a local restaurant and sides such as carrot sticks, salad, cookies, ice cream bars, and milk. A lunch ticket is available to avoid children handling cash.
3. Do you offer PE or Music? Yes, elementary students have 2 thirty minute PE classes per week and middle and high school have music and PE and earn a half credit per year.
4. Do you offer sports or extra curricular activities? We have offered basketball and soccer, depending on the interest of our students at the middle and high school levels some years. Depending on coach and student interest this might be through WA state WIAA or one of the local church leagues.
5. Why do you do fundraisers? Because we do not receive state or federal aid, we must use fundraisers to subsidize our educational program to keep tuition low. Compared to public schools, who receive well over $10,000 per student, Kingspoint's tuition and fees are quite low. These fees do not cover the operating costs of the school, so two fundraisers per year are planned to help make up that difference and keep costs down.
6. What supplies will my child need? Supply lists for each grade may be found by scrolling to the bottom of our home page or by looking at the Current Families page.
